TR-909 / Jeff Mills Graff Faded Gradient T-Shirt
TR-909 / Jeff Mills Graff Faded Gradient T-Shirt
A tribute to the machine—and the artist—whose sound became inseparable from the language of futuristic techno.
The TR-909 / Jeff Mills Graff T-Shirt features an original hand-drawn design by Shiro Fujioka aka Voltagectrlr / Kez One, reconstructing the legendary TR-909 through graffiti letterforms while incorporating a portrait of Jeff Mills into the “0” of 909.
Knobs, sequencer controls, switches and other details inspired by the rhythm machine are woven into the lettering, creating a piece that connects graffiti, electronic music technology and Detroit techno culture in a single visual composition.
Created as part of RHYTHMIC GEOMETRY: Studies in Sound, Machine & Letterform, this special variation pays homage to Jeff Mills’ visionary approach to rhythm, repetition and machine-driven music while celebrating the TR-909 as one of the defining instruments of electronic music.
Printed on a 100% cotton faded gradient T-shirt, the washed finish gives every piece a worn-in character that complements the raw hand-drawn artwork.
